Khao Lak Restaurants - Bang Niang Area

You will never starve in Khao Lak.  The variety of food available will keep you happily gaining weight during the full span of your visit - and the full span of your elastic-waisted shorts.

Restaurants are arranged on the left of this page according to their location on the map along the right side of the page - starting in the north and moving south.  There are, of course, many more restaurants in the area - but these are just a sampling of photos and scans from local advertising - just to get your mouth watering . . .

Chong Fah Restaurant - beach front Bang Niang Beach - all the standard Thai favorites. M3

Pinocchio's - GREAT pizza and pasta - only recently re-opened and happy to say the food is even better than pre-tsunami days.  Located at M-3 almost exactly in the middle of the page to the right of their advert below.

Well . . . you can never have enough good Italian, can you?  The Portofino is located at N-3 almost at the main road.

Gecko's Sports Bar - about N-3, north side of the road that runs down to Bang Niang Beach.

Takieng Restaurant - just north of the Royal Thai Navy Boat - a popular favorite. N-4 on the map.

Saab Seafood - on the main road just south of the stranded Thai Navy boat - also at N-4.

Smoh Ruer Restaurant, a favorite of many, features Isarn food and seafood - opposite the Bangkok Hospital Phuket office at N-4/N-5:

Every small resort and rooming house in the area will also have their own small restaurant -  you will, no doubt, discover many jewels in the rough - where Mom's cooking is the best Thai food you will ever find!
