Pak Weep and Bang Sak Beaches in the Khao Lak Area

These two beaches north of the main areas of Khao Lak are favorites for beach combers and people who enjoy long quiet strolls on the beach.

PakWeep Beach (sometimes Pakweeb, Pakweep, Pak Weeb) is defined by the northern coastline of Cape Pakarang and includes the Ao Thong Beach (or Oaw Thong) area.  Bang Sak Beach begins as the coastline turns northward.

Bang Sak Beach [photo top right of this page] is well known for the Haadson Resort and the street of small Thai restaurants along the beach front.

Pakweeb Beach is known for the coral and shells that wash up on the beach overnight - thus the favor of beach combers.   Along Pakweeb Beach you will find the LeMeridien, Similana and Sarojin Resorts as well as a growning number of smaller bungalow resorts.

Beach restaurants are also found in this area - though in lesser density than along Bang Sak Beach.
