Pre-Tsunami Map of Khao Lak and Area

This is quite a large map - expect it to take a few moments to load

The people over at Khao Lak Map have made a great effort to put together a pre-tsunami map for people interested in layout of the area, resorts, etc - before the 2004 Boxing Day tsunami.

If you had never been to Khao Lak prior to the tsunami - you might be quite amazed at the differences.  In early 2008, Khao Lak is only now approaching the room capacity it had pre-tsunami.  So, it has been a long haul back from abyss - but they have done it well.

How to use the map: Put your cursor on the map and click once and you can then scroll the map up and down.  You will need to use the scroll bar at the bottom of the map to move it to the right or left. It works best to view the map at 50% until you locate the area you want to examine them change it to 100%

How to download the map: Just click on the save icon on the top left of the map - it will be much easier to use if you download it.
